Our Achievements

HB Handshake

The HB Handshake was developed as part of our WTFOC mission, to publicly and formally recognise good employee performance.  Employees can be nominated by peers or managers from either their own business area or another. 

Hazell Bros Management and Executive communicate HB Handshakes directly to the recipient with a letter and accompanying gift, and the workforce is informed through the Company Newsletter.

Recent handshakes include:

 Kate Thallan - your commitment and self management ability. In particular, the excellent work in value adding to the business with exceptional management to keep all our debtors and cash sales under control.  14 October 2008.

Annette and Ricky Norris - the generosity you displayed in assisting Josh Bohl with transport to and from HBG during his work placement. 3 October 2008

Leigh Coppleman - This handshake is for your recent hard work in organising the Hazell Bros fleet and contractors for the cartage contract to transport 25,000 tonnes of clinker from Bell Bay wharf to Cement Australia at Railton within a strict timeframe.

You have been responsible for the management of up to 24 truck and trailers, and communication between Cement Australia and Hazell Bros, which has required you to be onsite from 4am until 7pm. Your extra effort has been greatly appreciated. 23 July 2008.
