Board

The Board represents and serves the interests of the owners and collectively oversees and appraises the strategies, policies and performance of Hazell Bros Group. The Board’s main role is to govern, rather than manage Hazell Bros Group, by ensuring there is a proper governance framework in place to promote the organisation’s interests for the benefit of its stakeholders.

Geoffrey Hazell

Managing Director and Owner

Geoffrey has nearly 40 years’ experience in construction and has been instrumental in the development and expansion of Hazell Bros. He oversees new business and strategic opportunities.

Robert Hazell

Director and Owner

Robert has more than 40 years’ experience with Hazell Bros and oversees asset management, planning and the purchasing of major plant and equipment.

Ray Brown

Chairman and Shareholder Advisor

Ray was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 1976. He was a partner in the Hobart law firm of Page Seager from 1978 until 2008, retiring as senior partner and continuing as a consultant until 2009. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Carl Rooke

Shareholder Advisor

Carl started his career in chartered accounting in 1970 and established his own firm in 1974. That firm was a founding member of Horwath Australia, later known as BDO Kendalls. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
