Transend Primary Store Building (Bridgewater)
Hazell Bros have recently completed construction of a new PrimaryStoreBuilding for Transend at Bridgewater.
This successful project included the unique construction of a roof system suspended by nine curved roof trusses, each spanning fifty four metres. The facility provides Transend Networks with over five thousand square meters of clear span equipment storage space serving their operations statewide.
Scope of Works
- Civil earthworks
- In situ concrete slab
- Precast concrete walls
- A roof system formed from the longest continuous sheeting currently in Tasmania. Sheets were rolled on site and each truss had the roofing iron installed on the ground prior to erection.
- Site drainage, swale and recycled rain water
- Fire sprinkler system including tank water supply
- Recycled rain water tank, Solar powered hot water system
- Electrical works including fire detection, security and CCTV
- Internal Gantry Crane
- Workshop and admin facilities including welding bays, kitchen and office space
- Over 10,000 m2 of external concrete hardstand area
